About this tour

Mombasa Tusks

A photo stop at the four giant tusks on Moi Avenue, erected for Queen Elizabeth's visit in 1952 and now one of Mombasa's most recognizable landmarks.
Spice Market
20 minutes
Mombasa's oldest market, built in 1914 under British rule. Cardamom, pepper, turmeric, and curry powders, still sold much as they always have been.
Old Town streets
1 hour
A wind through Old Town's fish market, the old port, a Hindu temple, and a stop for handicrafts at Akamba — Swahili, Arab, and colonial architecture at every turn.
Fort Jesus
